MAVADO

David Constantine Brooks (born December 25, 1981) better known by his stage name Mavado, aka Gully God, is a Jamaican dancehall artist. Mavado had two major influences in his life that made him want to pursue a career in music. His grandmother who raised him, brought him to church with her each Sunday, and this helped to ignite his love for music. What kept the flame burning was his second influence in his music; his idol, and current labelmate Bounty Killer. With hit songs "on the rock", "gully side"and "so special" he is making a big name for himself in the dancehall world. His new album Mr. Brooks....A Better Tomorrow hits stores March 2009….. read more www.myspace.com/realmavado

ELEPHANT MAN

Elephant Man stormed through the doors of dancehall back in 1998 under the wing of Bounty Killa and the Scare Dem Crew. Elephant Man is the responsible mastermind behind reuniting dancehall music with fun, innocent, trouble free dancing, a vital element that’s been absent from the culture and most often replaced by a new wave of artistry who glorify a bad mon, bad mind persona in their records. His debut, Good 2 Go (VP), became a worldwide smash back in 2004 with the release of chart topping party tunes like current hit “Nuh Linga”, “Signal di Plane”and “Pon di River, Pon di Bank” … …..(read more) http://www.myspace.com/elephantmandj

BOUNTY KILLER

Bounty Killer:

(born Rodney Basil Price) in Kingston, Jamaica is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall deejay. He is the founder of a dancehall collective, known as The Alliance. One of Bounty Killer's first tunes was the "Coppershot." Coppershot was heard by New York-based Johnny Wonder, a pivotal figure in North American Dancehall Reggae, who went crazy when he heard it, instantly recognising the potential of its hardcore appeal to the urban markets Stateside. The 1990s was also the decade in which Bounty Killer became known in USA and in Europe and ended up with several combinations with big artists like Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, No Doubt, Swizz Beatz and AZ. In 2006, Bounty Killer signed with VP Records and the compilation album Nah No Mercy - The Warlord Scrolls …. ..read more www.myspace.com/therealbounty

CAPLETON

CAPLETON:
A wise man once said that a prophet is never honored in his own country. And so it has been with Capleton. While the veteran DJ‚s words and works long ago earned him the title of “The Prophet”, the respect and honor that should rightfully be his have been a long time coming. Capleton is now at the height of his powers. 1999 and 2000 have brought a ceaseless string of sound system favorite and dancehall chart toppers like the anti-violence anthem “Jah Jah City”, “Tour”, Selassie I live every time” and “Good In Her Clothes,”…..read more
