Reggae legend Beres Hammond, known especially for his romantic lovers rock, boasts a mellifluous voice, moving lyrics, and dynamic live performances. During his 35-plus year career, his unforgettable anthems have included "Groovy Little Thing," "Putting Up Resistance," and "Tempted to Touch."
This year, Hammond is celebrating the release of his newest—and 25th—album, A Moment In Time, which includes Hammond's signature rhythms, from sensual R&B to avant-garde jazz to innovative reggae, backed by some of Jamaica's finest musicians. Yes the four member band is called “New Kingston” and yes they are based in Brooklyn, New York in the United States. The four brothers age from 20 to 26 years consists of the youngest Tahir on Keyboards/Vocals; Courtney, Drums/Vocals; Steve, Guitar/Vocals and Junior on Bass. Leon balances his array of talent between all mediums, but it is evident that his first connection with reggae is seen when he performs with his band “Leon and The Peoples.” Leon says “I was always more comfortable with that style because of the sultriness of the style.
